Bag Hunger

One of the ways our church serves the community around us is with our grocery assistance program called Bag Hunger. The Bag Hunger program is a great opportunity for our church to come together and show God's love in a practical way by providing food and toiletries for those in need. In the church lobby at the Bag Hunger display, you can pick up a bag and a list of items to purchase.  The filled bags can then be dropped off on Sunday mornings at the Bag Hunger display or during the week at the church offices.  At the end of each month, we deliver bags to the homes of those in need throughout our community.

How you can help

  1. Pick up a bag from the Bag Hunger display in the church lobby (you can skip this step and just head straight to the store).
  2. Return the bag filled with these non-perishable food items:
  • 5 cans soup
  • 4 cans of vegetables
  • 4 cans of fruit
  • 2 cans of spaghetti and meatballs
  • 1 can of beans
  • 4 boxes of macaroni & cheese
  • 1 jar of peanut butter
  • 1 box of pasta noodles
  • 1 jar of pasta sauce
  • 1 box of cereal

Remember, the bags can be dropped off on Sunday mornings at the Bag Hunger display or during the week at the church office (Mon. - Thurs., 9:30 - 5).

Bag distribution

On the last Saturday of every month, we will deliver bags to the homes of those in need throughout the Lafayette & West Lafayette area. If you are interested in helping deliver bags, or would like more information, call the church offices at 765-807-5443 or contact Kurt McConnell.
